Langenhoven Gymnasium of Oudtshoorn retained the SWD Schools Super League title on Saturday when they defeated Outeniqua High by 7 runs in a nail-biting final that was played in George.
In a match that was disrupted several times due to rain Gymnasium posted 163 runs and restricted Outeniqua for 156. Grant Esua was Gymnasium’s hero with an impressive bowling spell of 6/34. Gymnasium also won the Coca Cola Schools Twenty20 competition earlier in the season.
The u/15 final between the two same teams that was played in Oudtshoorn was abandoned due to rain.
