Op Saterdag 7 April 2012, in samewerking met José Cuervo Tequila en MK vind die hernuwing van ‘n feesgunsteling, Kaktus Op Die Vlaktes, by sy nuwe tuisteJam Streetamfiteater net buite Oudtshoorn plaas.
Histories was Kaktus Op Die Vlaktes se verhoog gasheer van Suid-Afrika se grootste musiek ikone. Hardebaarde soos Valiant Swart, Johnny Clegg, Miriam Makeba, Koos Kombuis, Jack Hammer, Johannes Kerkorrel, Anton Goosen het die weg gebaan vir FPK/Fokofpolisiekar, Corne & Twakkie, Mandoza en Prime Circle wat hierdie een dag opelug musiekviering gevestig het as ‘n hoogtepunt van die Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees.
Verwag om ‘n asemrowende keur van Suid-Afrikaanse kunstenaars vir alle smake, met Holland se electro-meesters Baskerville, nuwelinge Spoegwolf en Dividable Grand en gunstelinge Die Heuwels Fantasties, Jack Parow, Gazelle, Van Coke Kartel, Die Tuin Dwergies te sien. Karma keer terug vir ‘n SA toer en rond die program af.

Kaktus Op Die Vlaktes returns to Absa KKNK 2012, with a sharp line-up!
José Cuervo and MK ensure that the Kaktus Op Die Vlaktes return to the 2012 Absa KKNK at its new venue, Jam Street Amphitheatre just outside Oudtshoorn is a prickly experience for all who participate. And there are many opportunities to win more than just tickets to this gathering of our country’s most popular rock bands.
Historically Kaktus Op Die Vlaktes has hosted some ofSouth Africa’s biggest music icons. Stalwarts such as Valiant Swart, Johnny Clegg, Miriam Makeba, Koos Kombuis, Jack Hammer, Johannes Kerkorrel and Anton Goosen paved the way for FPK/Fokofpolisiekar, Corne & Twakkie, Mandoza and Prime Circle; defining this one day open air music celebration as the highlight of the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees.

With this rebirth of sorts, expect the return of a killer South African line-up catering for a variety of musical tastes with Dutch Electro giants Baskerville; newcomers Spoegwolf and Dividable Grand; and current favourites Die Heuwels Fantasties, Jack Parow, Gazelle, Van Coke Kartel and Die Tuin Dwergies. Karma returns for a SA tour and rounds off the stellar line-up.
