Good News and Bad News. I have just confirmed with the local organising committee that all entries for the 21,1 km and the 10 km are closed! This also includes the 10 km Walk.
The entries have been overwhelming partly due to the Meiringspoort race gaining popularity and also because of De Rust winning the South African and Namibia Town of the Year 2011.
There is great concern for the safety of the runners through the poort. This is the top priority at present as we don’t want the event marred by an accident.
Accommodation in De Rust, neighbouring farms and towns is chock-a-block. If your are within a day outing drive then it will be well worth the visit. The village will be buzzing.
