AFTERNOON TEA BY THE SEA (5 – 11 AUGUST 2024)
Celebrate Women’s Day in luxury at The Plettenberg against a picture perfect backdrop of ocean views that set the scene for an unforgettable experience. This year, the 5-star hotel invites guests to indulge in a decadent ‘Afternoon Tea by the Sea’, complete with a sparkling welcome of a complimentary glass of Graham Beck Rosé on arrival. Served all week from Monday, 5th August to Sunday, 11th August 2024, between 15:00 and 17:00, it’s a wonderful way to toast Women’s Day, all week long.
Guests will delight in a delicious four course menu that starts with a selection of dainty finger sandwiches, followed by savoury bites such as mini spinach & feta quiche, salmon fish cake, goat’s cheese mousse, vegetable spring roll, and a pulled curried chicken fold over. The signature warm scone served with strawberry jam and whipped cream is another highlight, before the final course – an array of sweet treats that includes baked cheesecake, streusel puff with a crème brûlée filling, classic carrot cake, lamington swiss roll, and macarons.
A selection of fine teas or coffee is included to complete an afternoon of epicurean spoils, served either on the terrace, or in the restaurant or elegant lounge of The Plettenberg, where luxury, relaxation and breathtaking sea views harmoniously blend.
