This time David brings the beautiful, touching and informative Sacred Elephant, written by Heathcote Williams and the return of the loveable Oom Schalk as he regales us with the stories of the legendary Herman Charles Bosman.

Sacred Elephant:

Muller’s “haunting” and “entrancing” dramatization of Williams’ epic poem exposes the plight of these majestic creatures and man’s impact on them. The poem is written in free verse, and the performance flows in a way that echoes the variations of nature itself.

According to reviewer Karen Rutter, this is “no bunny-hugging piece of green … propaganda. The language is graceful and elegant, the mood evocative but not emotionally manipulative, the content realistic.”

Herman Charles Bosman:

“Listen as actor David Muller transports you back in time through the words of the famous character that Herman Charles Bosman created.

Muller has been telling Bosman’s stories for several years now and always “leaves one craving more of his entertainment” (according to reviewer Beverly Brommert, Cape Argus). The set is simple, the stories classic, and the performance is captivating. Audiences will love the warm-hearted character of Oom Schalk Lourens and the charm with which his stories unfold.” Says www.capetown.travel
