Devmark’s The Plettenberg Manor almost sold out

Devmark Property Group’s exclusive retirement village in Plettenberg Bay, The Plettenberg Manor, is 78% sold out. The award-winning development, which forms part of Devmark’s The Retirement Collection, will offer 111 luxury homes, 54 cottages as well as 24 free-hold luxury apartments on completion.

Says Hein Ehlers, CEO of Devmark Property Group: “We’re delighted with the popularity of this retirement village. The Plettenberg Manor offers everything your heart desires – beautiful surroundings, excellent security, direct access to a private beach, lovely hiking trails, bird hides for birdwatchers, and bowling greens – all on the estate. Not only does this development promise to offer an excellent return on investment, but also the perfect lifestyle,” Ehlers concludes.

Bruwer de Jager, Marketing and Sales Executive at The Plettenberg Manor, adds that there are only 23 units left. “The development will offer residents eight accommodation types, ranging from three-bedroom exclusive homes to apartments designed in the Cape vernacular style, juxtaposing the Cape South Coast’s rural charm with sophisticated modern functionality and open plan living. We only have Grey Heron and Egret Luxury Homes, Penguin and Cormorant Luxury Cottages, and Albatros apartments available. The apartments sell from R1.55 million and luxury units start at R2.695 million to R4.350 million.”

De Jager continues that the estimated time frame for completion of the development is scheduled for the second quarter of 2020. He explains: “Our development team will provide buyers with a master programme, setting out the completion time frame for each unit. Our team is dedicated to offer buyers the best experience, with some having already moved in.”

He says the former Keurbooms River Hotel will be restored and refurbished to function as the estate’s clubhouse, offering residents and guests the best dining and leisure experience. “Building of the clubhouse will commence in March next year and will include a restaurant, coffee shop, ladies bar, beauty salon, a convenience store, assisted living suites as well as a healthcare centre including a 24 bed frail care centre. For the young at heart, the vitality wing of the clubhouse will offer numerous exciting options to stay fit and happily entertained with a fully equipped gym and swimming pool.”

The development recently won two prestigious awards at the International African Property Awards for Best Residential Development and Best Development Marketing for The Plettenberg Manor. It has also been crowned as one of the Top 10 residential estates in South Africa by New World Wealth earlier this year.

De Jager concludes: “The Plettenberg Manor, which forms part of The Retirement Collection, is located in one of the safest, most unspoilt areas of the Garden Route, with access to the private beach only 500m from our entrance gate.  It offers a world-class destination, excellent security, heathy lifestyle and all the amenities you could think. I’m proud and thankful to be part of this award winning estate.”

Devmark Property Group also won Best Single Unit Residential Development for Klein D’Aria Private Estate at the International African Property Awards. This development has been nominated for the International Best Single Unit Residential Award (to be announced in December this year).

Furthermore, Global Brands Magazine Awards recently selected Devmark as the Best Premium Property Investment and Development Brand in South Africa. CEO Hein Ehlers has also recently been selected as Top CEO of the Year for 2018 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the property development industry.
