Plett Tourism is in the process of developing professionally guided Eco Hiking Trails as part of their ongoing commitment to grow and develop the tourism industry in our area. The opportunity was advertised in early December and due to the holiday season the application deadline has been extended to the 15th January 2015. Training will take place as follows:
Phase One: Pre-Qualifying Selections (January 2015 for 1 week)
Phase Two: Training and FGASA Accreditation (February – April 2015)
Candidates considering this offer should meet the following criteria:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Able to converse easily in English
- Presentable and physically fit
- Willing to work over week-ends and holidays
- Passionate about nature
- Must have some knowledge of the local environment and historical heritage along the Garden Route
- Must have the confidence to interact with strangers

1. Selections will be based on merit but preference will be given to previously disadvantaged individuals from Plettenberg Bay
2. Successful candidates will be notified via email and telephone during the third week of January 2015.
