A new attraction – reportedly the world’s longest over-ocean zipline – is set to open in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, this month. The line stretches 1.1km from the rocks at St. Blaze to the deck at the aquarium.
According to the zipline operator’s website, Mossel Bay Zipline, thrill-seekers can expect to reach speeds of up to 80km/h while enjoying an unrivalled view of the ocean and surrounding cliffs.
A statement on the Mossel Bay Municipality’s Facebook page two days ago (January 4) said it was only a matter of time before the grand opening.
Spaces are available from January 26 and, according to the booking site, a ride on the zipline is set to cost R450 (€28.20) per person.
