Greater Knysna revellers are relieved to hear that the ever-popular Knysna Wine Festival will be taking place during this year’s Knysna Oyster Festival.

We are happy to announce that the 17th Knysna Wine Festival will take place over the weekend of the famous Knysna Forest Marathon, Friday 7th and Saturday 8 July and will continue to offer locals and visitors the opportunity to experience a vast range of delicious wines and gin while chatting with the vintners and distillers,” said Belinda Hobson, co-owner of the Knysna Wine Festival.

Hobson expressed her immense joy and gratitude towards their new vehicle sponsorship Audi Centre George and BAIC Centre George. “Just as good wine ages and improves with time, the Knysna Wine Festival plans to do the same with our new sponsor, Audi Centre George and BAIC centre George who share our dedication and passion in the Pursuit of Perfection,” added Hobson.

With the Knysna Wine Festival being known as one of the Knysna Oyster Festival’s premier events, it is only fitting that this year’s event once again takes place at a premier venue, the luxurious Premier Resort – Knysna Mooring on George Rex Drive. Set against the breath-taking backdrop of the picturesque Knysna region, this year’s festival promises to be a truly unforgettable experience.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore an extensive selection of exceptional wines from both local and international vineyards. The festival’s esteemed winemakers, sommeliers, and industry experts will be present, offering their expertise and guiding guests through an incredible journey of flavors and aromas. From crisp whites to full-bodied reds and everything in between, there will be a wine to delight every palate.

Every year the festival is geared towards raising funds for communities in and around Greater Knysna and this particular event will donate a portion of the door takings to Sedgefield animal matters who specializes in the rescue and placement of abused, abandoned and unwanted companion animals and this monies will go towards their spay and neuter programme.
