The Greater Knysna Business Chamber born to be the voice of business!

At the Knysna Tourism NPC AGM held on the 26th September 2019, changes to the organisation that had been mandated at the Special Meeting on 12 March 2019 were ratified by unanimous vote of the members.

These changes saw Knysna Tourism change its name to The Greater Knysna Business Chamber NPC and the mandate of the NPC change from representing the town’s tourism interests to now representing all business interests.
A new Memorandum of Incorporation which streamlines the objectives, mission and vision of the organisation was also ratified.

The AGM was immediately followed by the official launch of the Greater Knysna Business Chamber and both events were attended, in total, by 80+ members and invitees.

To see so many people taking time out of their daily schedule to attend the AGM and/or launch clearly indicates the need for change and a huge interest in the new Chamber.

The Chamber aims to be a powerful voice for all business sectors in Knysna, Sedgefield, Rheenendal and all surrounding areas, but it’s success will always depend on the strength of its member base. Therefore, we urge the Greater Knysna business community to support the objective of the Chamber by signing up as members.

If you are a business owner, whether a sole trader or corporate entity, we invite you to become a member of the THE GREATER BUSINESS CHAMBER NPC and become part of the stronger voice for business in KNYSNA and surrounding areas.
The Chamber will be led by Johnny Nkosi as chairperson and Martin Hanson as Vice Chairperson. The board is made up of Elmay Bouwer, Evelyn Pepler, Albert Lombaard, Dr Andrew Brough, Chris Schutte, Schalk van der Merwe and Ian Shrosbree.
