Hold on tight for a safe ride on the unique Knysna RIB* adventure power boat.

Remember to keep breathing and your eyes open to experience the full wonder of this beautiful unspoilt environment.

Apart from the pristine estuary, an adventure through the infamous Knysna Heads will be the ultimate boating experience. Once out to sea the world is our oyster, where one can experience a vast array of bird and marine life as well as breath-taking scenery, for example: Buffalo Bay, Noetzie Castles and the beautiful surroundings.

When the conditions of the Knysna Heads are unsafe the adventure will continue down the Knysna estuary which has its own variety of scenery and birdlife. Be sure that this is no ordinary lagoon cruise!!!

Safety is our priority but out main focus is fun fun fun…

The Vessel

“Moonraker” is a custom designed Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) or “Rubber Duck as they are commonly referred to by the locals and is one of the largest of her kind (9 meters/29.5 feet) in South Africa. She is powered by twin 4-stroke 250HP Yamaha engines and has achieved speeds of up to 53 knots (98 Km/h). She was specifically built for her intended use and with the infamous Knysna Heads in mind. She has great sea-keeping abilities an enormous amount of reserve power combined with extreme turning capabilities which allows her to turn between waves & out-run them should it be required. Massive re-enforced military grade pontoons with watertight compartments & a strengthened deep-V hull contribute towards a secure platform. All these features have produced a safe efficient passenger friendly vessel which takes care of its occupants. We are commercially licensed by SAMSA (The South African Maritime Safety Association) to carry 12 passengers accommodated on individual jockey seats & 3 crew.
