Congratulations to Boet Gericke’s C League, who beat Goose Valley hands down 10 ½ to 1 ½ over 36 holes in the pouring rain last Saturday. Clearly our C League are hungry for victory this year! We really are proud of you.
Club Champs
The entry lists for the Men’s A and B Club Championships on the 12th and 13th of February 2011 are on the fixture board. If you intend playing, please add your name by no later than Wednesday 9 February 2011. Gentlemen wishing to participate in the C Division Club Championships (handicaps 19 and higher) will do so by playing in the Individual Stableford competition on Saturday the 19th of February 2011, marking their cards accordingly.
Scorers Needed
Peter and Jill Heydra are assisting Tannah Harris in the search for scorers to assist with the Di Data tournament at Fancourt on 17 – 20 February 2011. Please email them with the days that you are able to assist, as well as your shirt size to stmoritz@etime.co.za.
Friday Sundowner Booking Optimisation
Your assistance is required to optimise the bookings for the weekly Friday Sundowners competition. By lunch time last Friday the time sheet for tee-off times were fully booked (40 players). However, only 29 of these players actually teed off! This was such a pity, as there were a number of members who wanted to take part in the competition but could not due to the field being full. Therefore, in future at the time of booking a four ball for the competition, our staff have been instructed to ask for players names along with club numbers, and the member booking the four ball will be held accountable for any players who do not show up. We thank you for your understanding and co-operation in this matter.
SAGA
As from the 1st of February 2011, it will become mandatory to capture all 9 hole games and scores, as well as your 18 hole scores. Click here to read the release issued by Handicaps Network Africa in this regard.
