Plett businesses commit to join the fight against plastic pollution

Single-use PLASTICS SUCK!!! Plastics pose a major threat to us and our planet, with 8 million metric tons entering our ocean each year. It is projected that by 2050 we will have more plastic in our oceans than fish.

These products have many health risks to humans and animals alike and the environment we live in as a whole. A product that carried progress and convenience has drifted its way to every corner of our lives at a cost that is too exorbitant to sustain. As a global community, we need to make a choice today: Planet or Plastic?

This past World Environment Day, Renew Able Plett and Nature’s Valley Trust held a workshop on best waste practices and several Plett businesses attended to add their commitment to reducing their waste. Those who committed to reducing their plastic waste were:
