A crime prevention group set up for Plettenberg Bay some seven years ago, has welcomed its newest committee member. The Plettenberg Bay Crime Prevention Association (PBCPA) confirmed last week that Fidelity ADT’s Garden Route branch manager Steven Green has joined its ranks, as a member of the executive team.
The PBCPA was created in 2011 after criminal activity increased in the region. The committee has since been responsible for implementing various crime solutions, which includes building strong relationships with local authorities as well as private security companies.
“Since being appointed as Fidelity ADT branch manager, Steven has shown a very hands-on approach in dealing with crime. He has been in the security industry for 20 years and we are confident that his collective knowledge will make a valuable contribution to our team” says Bruce Richardson from the PBCPA.
“The PBCPA has been actively pursuing their mission to protect and serve the community through various crime prevention activities. It is a great honour for me to be part of their team and I look forward to serving on the committee,” says Green.
“I believe that my involvement will contribute greatly in terms of skills, knowledge and resources while the most important aspect of my role will be to assist in making decisions that are in the best interest of the region.”
