Support the Twitter Blanket Drive in Plettenberg Bay and Knysna

#TBD is back in full swing and 2011 has the ambitious target of collecting 8,000 blankets for less fortunate communities around the country.  This figure is based on the fact that there are currently 800,000 South Africans on Twitter. If just 1% of all Tweeters contribute 1 blanket then we can reach our target.

In less than 1 week the might of the Twitterverse has already confirmed 9 Tweetups in 3 provinces: 

Gauteng – Sandton (North), Benoni (East), Constantia Kloof (West), Pretoria

Western Cape – Cape Town (City), Hermanus, Plett, Knysna

KZN – Gateway

Many familiar Tweeps are back on board from 2011 #TBD:  @nevinsp, @jackiejvr, @sdiedericks, @marleneboyce, @talitharabie, @alambchop… But as the SA Twitter community has grown over the past year so has the interest by a whole new set of Tweeters, particularly in the KZN area.

We are still hoping to get Tweetups setup in Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth and East London. If you are interested please drop us a message so we can fill you in on the details.
