More divers were deployed on Thursday to the Southern Cape to assist in the search for the bulk of the wreckage belonging to the Italtile company plane.
The PC 12 aircraft, with nine people onboard, crashed into the sea off Plettenberg Bay on Tuesday evening.
Bad weather hampered initial search efforts on Thursday morning.
The National Sea Rescue Institute’s Ray Farnham said the team is now conducting deeper dives.
“We’ve got divers on scene, the boat is just positioned itself to do some deeper dives and during the dives, we’re trying to find and locate the main bulk wreck of the aircraft,” he said.
