Langenhoven retain both titles

Langenhoven Gymnasium on Saturday retained both the U/15 and U/19 Super league titles of the SWD Schools competition when they defeated Outeniqua in both finals.

In the u/19 final that was played at Langenhoven Gymnasium, the champions chased down 227 and thanks to an unbeaten innings by captain Grant Esau (96*) recorded a six-wicket victory. Gymnasium (115 all out) restricted Outeniqua to 108 all out for a nail biting 7 runs victory in the U/15 final.

The B-team of Outeniqua was crowned u/19 Promotion league champs and the Rosemoore Hub as u/15 Promotion league champions.

In the first play-off match in the Western Cape Coca-Cola Twenty20 competition the SWD winner, Oakhill (85 all out) lost by 92 runs against the Western Province winner – Paarl Gymnasium (177 all out)
