Security in Mossel Bay boosted with cash and tech donation

Three neighbourhood watches situated in Mossel Bay have been given a welcome boost for their plans to keep people safe and secure. They have welcomed a donation of security equipment from local security company ADT Security.

“We are proud to be able to help Mossel Bay’s Bo-Dorp, Onder-Dorp and Heiderand Neighbourhood Patrols in this tangible way with a donation of security equipment to the value of R30 000. ADT commends them for their efforts in securing our communities and for their valuable contribution towards the fight against crime,” says ADT Security’s Branch Manager for the Garden Route, Steven Green.

“This is not only a once off donation, but we will continue to sponsor the infrastructure on a continuous basis in order to assist with the operations of the security radios and software required for their daily duties.”

The donation included state of the art equipment such as radio’s, bullet proof vests and batons as well as computer software which will monitor all incidents within their footprint. This software helps organizations to track crime patterns and determine the modus operandi’s used within the area. It also helps to identify areas where crime is on the raise and needs additional attention from security and law enforcement organizations.

“We have also been added to the Patrol’s WhatsApp communication group, to further speed up our ability to communicate with each other as we work together on safety projects,” says Green.
