18 June: Yesterday, Metropolitan hosted an official opening ceremony of the new Mossel Bay branch on 64 Marsh Street, Lennon Building.
“As part of our strategic growth path over the next few years, we are re-assessing where our branches should be located. Our vision is to open more full service capability branches, to be more accessible to our clients and visible in communities,” says Khanyi Nzukuma, CEO of Metropolitan Retail.
The Mossel Bay office uses new technology, termed Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), which provides clients with a seamless experience, faster service and improved security, while reducing the company’s carbon footprint.
E.T. Zungu, Regional Manager of the South Coast, says: “Previously, the nearest branch was in George, which meant that Metropolitan clients had to travel all the way there to receive service. Therefore, to meet the needs of the growing Mossel Bay community, we opened a branch here.
“We are also creating employment opportunities to help improve the lives of the community. Clients will be serviced by people they know and who understand their needs.
“We believe that with our presence, we can enhance the financial wellbeing of the Mossel Bay community and surrounding areas,” concludes. E.T. Zungu.
