Cape Town – Two men have drowned and four others are in a serious condition after their fishing boat capsized at the Knysna Heads on Friday morning, the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) said.
“All six men were recovered by the NSRI. Four of the men were transported to hospital in serious conditions. After exhaustively performing CPR on two of the men, they were declared dead on the scene,” said spokesperson Craig Lambinon.
The cause of the accident would be investigated by the SA Maritime Safety Authority. The police had opened an inquest docket, he said.
