Fancourt draws inspiration from safari industry

Fancourt has launched an exclusive Pro Package that includes tuition and guidance from a personal golfing professional at The Manor House on Fancourt Estate.

Fancourt’s Sales and Marketing Director, Peter Dros, says the concept for the Pro Package was borrowed from the safari industry, which offers private guiding options for guests who want a more exclusive safari experience. “By adapting this concept to the golf market and adding the exclusive services of a golf pro we are taking Fancourt’s golf offering to a whole new level.”

The luxury package is designed for individual golfers, and includes four nights’ accommodation at The Manor House, Fancourt Estate’s exclusive boutique hotel. Guests also have the opportunity to play at the members-only private club, and the number-one ranked course in South Africa.

“The concept of offering individual golfers the added value of having their own golf pro for the duration of their stay is a world first for Fancourt Estate, and positions The Manor House and the estate’s three world-class gold courses at the pinnacle of South Africa’s golf tourism sector,” says Dros.

Pro Package guests will be greeted at George Airport by a personal butler with refreshments, before being driven to The Manor House in a BMW. There, the golf pro will meet them on arrival, and will go through the itinerary with the guests. The first afternoon includes a round of golf on the Outeniqua or Montagu courses, accompanied by the pro as part of an exclusive two-ball.

Accommodation is in one of The Manor House’s 18 luxury suites, with meals taken either at Henry White’s restaurant, or at one of Fancourt Estate’s other restaurants. The package also includes a range of personalised gifts such as truffles and champagne, and afternoon tea and canapés.
