NMMU has reason to be proud

NMMU George is proud of… Adele Potgieter, a lecturer in the School of Business & Social Sciences at the university’s George Campus at Saasveld, who was recently named one of the 16 finalists of the 2011 Mrs South Africa competition. A competition embracing South Africa’s women based on their community involvement, leadership positions, general grooming, etc. 

Adele has been actively involved in community- and charity work for a number of years now. 

Her latest work includes her involvement in the Outeniqua Wheelchair Challenge; she is currently chairperson of the Cansa Relay-for-Life in George; she is a committee member of Living Work Ministries involved in company evaluations and she is also part of the hockey committee at Outeniqua High School with the aim of raising funds for an astro turf at the school. 

The winner will be announced at a formal function at Fancourt on 12 November.
