Fancourt Golf news…

Greetings from Lloyd

Greetings Members and Friends,

We are nearing the end of our summer events season this Friday with the Hawaiian pool party and spit braai, followed by the following Friday the 25th Orient Express food and quiz click here to see the excellent menu. It has been a busy summer for those of you that supported the program and I would like to thank you.

The winter events program starts on April 1st to 30th September and I would appreciate your input. What worked well, what didn’t? Any suggestions? The tried and tested food and quiz evenings have been great, the sundowner average attendance, the 4 hole at the Academy is always a winner, what about 4 hole night golf at the Academy when it gets darker earlier? What about a parent/grandparent and child 9 hole golf day…Do you fancy some wine, whiskey tastings? Please click here to send in your ideas.
Thanks.

Weekly News
The nice thing about a weekly newsletter is just that, it’s weekly, and that means we can more accurately predict events such as the weather and the good news is for this Friday’s pool party looks like it’s going to be a scorcher!! Closing date to book for this is end of business on Wednesday for catering purposes. Simply click here.

Did you Know?
I was making enquiries for Mr Ross last week on room rates for some friends of his and specials members could receive, and was pleasantly surprised. The Hotel has a special room rate of R1200 (valid until March 2012) including breakfast for members’ guests, divide that by two people and that’s pretty good value. I also found out that for special events and birthdays, members do not pay any venue hire and there are also some great specials on conferencing. Email our new on site marketing manager Ulrike on UlrikeS@Fancourt.co.za for more details.

That’s about it for this week, but before I go, I thought I would share this excellent quote with you… ”Sixty years ago I knew everything. Now I know nothing. Education is the progressive discovery of our ignorance.” ~ Will Durant

Cheers

Top private client and wealth management company to host monthly Fancourt tournaments

We are delighted to announce that BoE Private Clients will be hosting the monthly golf tournament for Fancourt members this year. The events take place on the 3rd Wednesday of every month and will kick off on Wednesday, 16th March 2011.

BoE Private Clients is one of SA’s largest private banks and wealth management companies, with over R80 billion in private assets under management and administration. A wholly owned subsidiary of Nedbank Limited, it offers a holistic, personalised and complete portfolio of financial solutions and services to high net worth individuals.

As a consciously evolving business, BoE Private Clients seeks not merely to build relationships with clients, but to promote the prosperity of a far wider range of people, including members of the communities in which it operates.

Alan Goldberg, Head of BoE Private Clients’ Coastal Region based in Port Elizabeth says BoE Private Clients has had a long relationship with the game of golf because it forms a key part of its clients’ lifestyles.

“We are devotees of the beauty of Fancourt and the magnificence of its courses. Those in the monthly tournaments will enjoy the beauty of both the Outeniqua and Montagu courses.”

“The 17th hole on the Montagu course, a par 3, is one of the BoE Private Clients Dream 18, featured through our partnership with Compleat Golfer magazine. Fancourt is renowned as having some of the top courses in the country and we are excited to be presenting sponsors of these events.”
