Black Swan is a psychological thriller drama from The Wrestler director Darren Aronofsky that stars Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis as rival prima ballerinas vying for the starring role in an upcoming production of Swan Lake. The film has Been nominated for 5 Oscars including Best Picture, Best Actress for Portman and Best Director for Aronofsky.
There’s further great drama with the political thriller Fair Game starring Naomi Watts and Sean Penn. Watts plays a covert CIA operative whose cover is blown by high-level politicking after her journalist husband writes an expose of the administration. The film is based on actual events surrounding the Iraq war.
Seth Rogen plays the lead role in The Green Hornet 3D, a fun-filled superhero flick in which he portrays a rich Hollywood party brat turned vigilante crime fighter whose mission it becomes to rid L.A. of the crime gangs that run amok. Cameron Diaz and Tom Wilkinson co-star.
Exclusive to Ster-Kinekor Nouveau is Fela!, the provocative and wholly unique hybrid of dance, theatre and music from London’s National Theatre which explores the extravagant, decadent and rebellious world of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
